Agora Portals International School is a private multilingual school in Mallorca characterised by educational innovation, high academic performance and personalised training for each student. In 2008, it became part of the prestigious educational group Globeducate. The school is committed to an international education based on the curriculum of the International Baccalaureate. It is also an Official Conservatory of Music.
IB: a model for the future
Agora Portals International School was the first school in the Balearic Islands authorized to teach the International Baccalaureate® (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) at the Baccalaureate stage. It is a model for the future that develops in students’ key competences for their academic, professional and personal success, favouring them to reach their goals in an international context
Multilingualism
We prepare students for an international future without limits or barriers. We offer a multilingual educational project, with linguistic immersion beyond English, which allows students to master the official language of their place of residence along with English, French, German or Chinese. Students have the opportunity to take official exams at the school to obtain degrees from Trinity College London and the University of Cambridge (English), or the Confucius Institute (Mandarin Chinese), among others.
Music and Performing Arts
Music and expressive arts are key to the integral development of children: they provide enormous cognitive and personal benefits, in addition to enhancing their communication skills. The school is an Official Conservatory of Music, which allows its students to obtain the title of Elementary Degree in Music and continue their studies. The creative and performing arts are also of great importance in the comprehensive training of students, enhancing their intellectual capacities.
Sports and health
Sport is an integral part of the curriculum, instilling in our students a passion for sport and healthy habits so that they become physically and emotionally balanced adults. Sport helps students develop and promote values such as perseverance, self-improvement, teamwork and cooperation, also enhancing their social skills. Our students have the Agora International Sports Club, where soccer, basketball and volleyball teams compete in the different federated leagues. Sports training is completed throughout the academic year with sporting events organized by the school and by the Globeducate group.
Shaping the world
Children entering education today will graduate as young adults in 2030. We must prepare them for jobs that have not yet been created, for technologies that have not yet been invented, to solve problems that have not yet been anticipated. We must encourage our students to take charge and shape their own future: we want them to be global citizens capable of changing the world.
