Stonar School is a highly-renowned British private school that forms part of the NACE Schools Group. Pupils from Agora Portals are offered the opportunity to be part of the Stonar experience for one term, two terms or an entire academic year. The school was founded in 1895 and so has over 120 years’ experience as a boarding school, and is situated on a private estate of parklands and gardens of more than 80 acres. The main school buildings are Grade II listed and Stonar is located 90 minutes from London, near the city of Bath. Students follow the British National Curriculum and have access to innumerable, sporting, academic, social and recreational facilities. Overseas students maintain contact with their native school tutors in order to ensure academic continuity whilst studying at Stonar.
In addition to its excellent academic programme and outstanding facilities, pupils at Stonar experience full linguistic and cultural immersion and meet and make friends with students from all over the world. The boarding facilities at Stonar are of the highest standard and students live, study and relax together, sharing experiences and forging friendships that will last a lifetime.
The boarding houses are set up to ensure that pupils can progress academically with minimal external distraction or diversion. The buildings are comfortable and provide everything that the students need to ensure their happiness and well-being. The buildings incorporate communal areas equipped with Wi-Fi, television, DVDs and video games so that students can enjoy recreational time together.
Boarders at Stonar have access to all the on-site sports facilities and during their recreation time are free to play tennis or football or to go horse riding or swimming with their friends. The school’s main aim is to ensure that, when students are not engaged in their academic studies, they get the opportunity to relax completely and socialise with friends from all over the world; promoting an atmosphere of happiness and international harmony where pupils learn from the older children and support the younger ones.
