Agora Portals International School opens its doors from June 29 with different activities for students from the centre and other schools
After almost three months of confinement in which Agora Portals International School has continued its classes online, the school is now ready to open its doors on June 29. Following the regulations and the different recommendations and sanitary measures, the centre has organized a series of recreational and sports activities for students from the centre and other schools on the island who want to take advantage of this opportunity to return to face-to-face activity in an environment as safe as fun.
The traditional English Summer Camp will take place between June 29 and August 14, with a limited capacity this year because of COVID-19 to a maximum of 100 participants between 4 and 12 years old. The activities are organized by age groups and students can enjoy the facilities of the centre, which has a semi-Olympic swimming pool, a municipal soccer field, a basketball field, an indoor sports hall and an auditorium, among many others.
The school also offers two specialized two-week summer courses: a Music course with daily use of the pool and a Basketball Campus, both from 9 to 15 hours. In addition, as a novelty this year, the school will open a free summer course for its students of two weeks duration, with activities designed by different schools of the Globeducate group.
Regarding security measures, Agora Portals International School follows a rigorous protocol in accordance with that established by the health authorities. Temperature control will be carried out on all students at the entrance to the school, along with disinfecting shoes. Handwashing with hydroalcoholic gel will also be required at the entrance to the classrooms and organizational boundaries will be established in corridors and common spaces to guarantee the safety of all students and school staff.
